Joel’s experience spans four decades and showcases a vast commitment to the arts, arts education, and community engagement.

Ferrell currently holds the title of Inaugural Director of the Sexton Institute for Musical Theatre at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts. In addition to this role, which tasks him with building the new musical theatre program from the ground up, he serves as professor of practice in Meadows’ existing Division of Theatre.
